Seasons of Jazz West African Performance Tours
(for musicians, family, & friends)
The Council of the Obsidian, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, is pleased to announce the Seasons of Jazz West African Performance Tours. Participating U.S.-based ensembles will perform in Jazz Festivals in Senegal, Burkina Faso, and other West African countries (as applicable). Ensembles must also be prepared to perform in a variety of venues including but not limited to night clubs, community settings, and music conservatories. In addition to performances, this unique experience will expose participants to other professional performing artists, students, and traditional West African musicians through cultural immersion and artistic exchange. The tours will depart New York JFK International Airport or Washington Dulles International Airport in March, June, or October. Performers can expect to be in West Africa for 7 - 10 days with this program.

The Particulars (subject to adjustment) Tours include:
- Round Trip Airfare via South African Airlines – New York JFK International Dakar/Yoff Senghor International (Dakar); continental airfares via Senegal Airlines
- Lodging
- Rehearsal Spaces
